The World’s Best publishes the 2026 GEM, Fork and Anchor rating system
GEM recognises hotels, Fork recognises restaurants and Anchor recognises cruises through category-specific one-, two- and three-level distinctions.

Published standards
The World’s Best has published its 2026 category distinction system for hotels, restaurants and cruises. Hotels may receive one to three GEMs, restaurants one to three Forks and cruises one to three Anchors.
Each category has its own published standards and result record. A distinction applies only to the named property, category, level and edition shown in the official register.
Professional services, award-mark licensing and commercial partnerships are administered separately and cannot create, improve, accelerate or renew a public result.
