Claim or update a record

Operators may confirm identity and submit evidence for a factual change. Claiming a record is free and does not confer a rating or rank.

A claimed or confirmed directory record does not confer a GEM, Fork or Anchor distinction and is not guaranteed consideration for The World’s Best 100.
01

What may be updated

  • Official name, address, website and operating status.
  • Legal operator, management company or principal brand relationship.
  • Opening, closure, relocation or a material change of concept.
  • Contact details used for factual confirmation.
  • Official media where the sender holds the necessary rights and grants the stated publication permission.
02

Evidence required

The request should come from an official-domain email or include reliable evidence of authority. Supporting material may include an official company record, dated website notice, operating document or confirmation from a person responsible for the place.

Submitting information does not give the sender ownership of the editorial page or control over its description. Promotional claims may be checked, shortened, attributed or declined.

03

How the request is handled

  • The record and source material are checked against the stable entity identity.
  • A factual correction may be made without changing historical annual information.
  • A material identity or operating change may create a new dated state rather than overwrite the earlier record.
  • The publication may seek clarification before making a change.
  • There is no fee for a factual update and no paid fast-track route.
04

Submit a record request

Include the hotel or restaurant page address, exact requested change, effective date, supporting evidence, your name, role and relationship to the place.
