At Portage and Main, Fairmont Winnipeg is entering a new chapter rather than taking ordinary reservations. The hotel paused operations on 1 July 2026 for a complete renewal and plans to reopen in spring 2027 with transformed guest rooms, event spaces and social areas. Its redesign is intended to connect Winnipeg’s bold architecture with prairie warmth, keeping the longstanding downtown address while reshaping how the building works.
