The Imperial New Delhi preserves the confidence of a 1930s landmark at the centre of Lutyens’ capital. Deep lawns, colonnades, an important art collection and stately rooms create historical weight, while gracious service and established restaurants keep the hotel in active city life. Its atmosphere cannot be reproduced by a new build.
